Music Box Series

April 2013 – June 2016

 

Early childhood interactive live musical concert series, especially for children ages six months to three years and their families.  Each concert was carefully crafted to enhance musical learning while boosting movement and motor skills, creativity, pre-literacy readiness, and parent/caretaker-child bonding. 

 

Concerts took place at The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, The Music Center at Strathmore, The Gordon Center for the Performing Arts, and The Civic Building at Silver Spring.

 

Concerts were performed by members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and dancer/hosts Maria Broom, Shannan E. Johnson or Khaleshia Thorpe-Price.
