A fantasy camp for amateur musicians, the Academy offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in a professional orchestra for one week conducted by Music Director Marin Alsop.  No audition required, the program offered orchestral, chamber music, music educators, and arts administrators tracks. 

 

This highly complex week-long annual program involved 250+ individual events, 4 public performances, transportation and catering organization, all the while ensuring curriculum exceeded expectations for participants and met guidelines for Maryland State Department of Education continuing education credit.
